✨ A Celestial Treasure from the Silk Road ✨
This Lacquer and Mother-of-Pearl Double-Leaf Jewelry Box, inspired by the Dunhuang Flying Apsaras murals, is a tribute to the cultural convergence of the ancient Silk Road. Handcrafted by Feiyi mother-of-pearl lacquer inheritance workshop, it embodies 3,000-year-old Chinese lacquer artistry and the mystical allure of Buddhist cave art, reimagined for the modern collector seeking ethically crafted luxury
Why This Jewelry Box Captivates
The Mystery of Lacquer Art: Using China's unique "raw lacquer" (collected from 20-year-old lacquer trees, each tree only produces 10 kilograms), hand-painting 30 layers of paint film, and after 100 days of drying and polishing in the shade, it finally presents a deep black tire, which becomes more and more moist as jade over time.
Mother-of-pearl streamer: natural shellfish such as abalone shells and luminous snails from New Zealand are selected, cut into 0.2 mm slices, and put together flying clothes with the technique of "setting with color" in Tang Dynasty. When the light flows, the screw reflects the iridescence of turquoise, gold and violet, just like the dynamic reappearance of "sky clothes flying" in murals.
Flying Totem: The flying dancer in the center of the box cover holds a lotus flower and recreates the charm of the mural in Cave 320 of Mogao Grottoes. The background patterns blend into Dunhuang scroll patterns and auspicious clouds, symbolizing endless life and good luck.
Poetic Life Home: It is not only a jewelry box, but also a desk study room or a mini antique shelf display, which collides with the minimalist and lonely space in Northern Europe to create Zen aesthetics.
